It is my pleasure to offer a letter of reference for Imre Filo [Owner of Build For Me Construction].

I first met Imre in 1991 at which time he was employed as an apprentice carpenter with Jack Gutz Contracting. That year he was involved in the foundation and framing of two homes for me.
In 1993 Jack Gutz was in the process of starting another “lock-up” project for me when Jack unexpectedly passed away leaving Imre on his own. Imre completed the contract, doing the carpentry and service connections. Imre continued with his own company and obtained his journeyman ticket.

During the period of 1993 to 1997 Imre operated his own limited company, Filo Construction, and operated as a foundation, framing and finishing contractor working on approximately 25 of my projects, from small renovations to several of the largest, complex and most expensive residences built in our area. During this period I relied heavily on Imre to additionally act as a project manager, supervising his own crew of apprentices and laborers, ordering materials, scheduling trades and arranging for inspections. Aside from sub-contracting to my company, Imre undertook a number of other projects including the general contracting of custom homes, structural additions, and other renovation contracts.

In the nine years of having known Imre Filo I saw him grow to the most proficient carpenter I have ever worked with. Imre has an excellent mathematical mind and always impressed me with his ability to quickly understand complex structure. Imre’s personality lends well to supervising other workers and to relating to suppliers, engineers and building officials. He is absolutely honest and dependable. His overall abilities make him a first class manager and would be a tremendous asset to any construction project.
